Job summary

SMS Equipment is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Technician in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville to diagnose and repair construction machinery. The role involves ordering parts, repairing or replacing components, and performing routine maintenance on site with a focus on safety and quality.

The ideal candidate holds a Heavy Equipment Technician Certification, has 5+ years of field experience, and brings good knowledge of Komatsu equipment, WHMIS, and crane/forklift certifications as assets.

Qualifications

• Must have Heavy Equipment Technician Certification.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in construction equipment mechanics.
• Other training certifications (WHMIS, crane, forklift) are assets.
• Experience with Komatsu products is an asset.
• Punctual, autonomous and team-oriented; strong health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Determine the extent of the mechanical problem and perform repairs.
• Order required parts.
• Adjust, repair and/or replace defective parts.
• Perform other regular maintenance.
