Job summary

SMS Equipment in Trois-Rivières is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician to diagnose malfunctions, order parts, and perform repairs on heavy equipment.

The role requires a certification and 3+ years in troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems; knowledge of Komatsu products is a plus, with strong computer software skills and a valid driver’s license. This on-site position offers training, benefits, and a safety-focused team environment.

Qualifications

• Heavy Equipment Technician Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Identify the nature of malfunctions and repairs.
• Order the parts needed for repairs.
• Adjust, repair, and/or replace defective parts.
• Perform routine maintenance work.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Hourly rate: From $32.76 to $44.39 per hour, depending on the position and experience

Your role :

Identify the nature of malfunctions and repairs.

Order the parts needed for repairs.

Adjust, repair, and/or replace defective parts.

Perform routine maintenance work.

Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

What you bring :

• Heavy Equipment Technician Certification. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Knowledge of Komatsu products would be an asset.
• Advanced knowledge of computer software’s and working with a portable unit.
• Hardworking, proactive, self-reliant, team worker and focused on customer service.
• Valid driver's license.
