Part Time Faculty II Instructor – Continuing Care Assistant Program

Competition Code: 2402 100il CCA Aug 23 (Teaching /Clinical instruction)

Responsibilities:
To provide practical and theoretical instruction of the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Continuing Care Assistant Certificate program, as well as program support to students. The instructor will be responsible for the planning and delivery of classes and labs, evaluating student performance, and providing academic guidance.

Qualifications:
Candidates must be a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with a degree in Nursing, Education, or a related subject area, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must be eligible for registration (active status) with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association or the Registered Psychiatric Nurses’ Association of Saskatchewan. Minimum two years of relevant experience in geriatric care (i.e. Long-Term Care, Rehabilitation, Home Care, Community Care, or Acute Care Medical Units) is required. Up-to-date TLR, first aid, and WHMIS certifications are necessary. Experience in adult education and instruction, good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work with people from various equity groups are required. Experience in long-term care is an asset.

Remuneration: $66,571 – $87,603
Term: September 2024 – June 2025 – 120 days (possibility of extension)
