Job summary

Summerland Seniors Village in Summerland, BC invites applications for a Part-Time Server role. Shifts are 3:30pm-8:00pm, providing dining room, lounge and room service support to residents and guests.

Qualifications

Grade 10 or equivalent education.
1-2 years dining room experience is an asset.
Food Safe Level 1 Certificate.
Serving It Right Certificate as applicable.
WHMIS Certificate.
Demonstrates collaborative and team working skills.
Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check required.
Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.

Responsibilities

Prepare dining room for services: set tables, stock items, assist with serving food and beverages.
Clear and buss tables; wash dishes per Infection Protection and Control guidelines.
Maintain a pleasant dining atmosphere ensuring residents' dignity and safety.
Promote positive communication among staff, residents and the public.
Assist with housekeeping and laundry duties as required.
Attend community and education programs.
Respond to resident and building emergencies.
Perform other duties as required.
