Job summary

Oxford Learning St. Albert is seeking a part-time teacher-tutor to help elementary students succeed in English and French, with lessons pre-planned.

You will work after-school and evenings, Monday to Thursday 4:00pm–8:00pm, and Saturday mornings 10am–3pm, teaching up to three students at a time, in-person at our centre.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent, tutoring experience, and access to training are required; vulnerable sector screening is mandatory and relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field.
• Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered.
• Teaching certification an asset.
• Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 9 curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels.
• Teaching online and in-person.
• Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
• Filling in post-lesson notes.
• Completing daily student communication updates.
• Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times.
