Job summary

Oxford Learning Don Mills is seeking a part‑time Tutor to work with Elementary and High School students in reading, writing, math, science and French. Lessons are pre‑planned; you’ll be trained in our proprietary approach and focus on teaching.

Ideal candidates have a teaching mindset, strong English skills, and can handle multiple students (up to four) at once, with availability after school and evenings. This in‑person role is based in Don Mills, Toronto.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field.
  • Third‑year university students with tutoring experience will be considered.
  • Working towards or having a teaching certification is an asset.
  • Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum.
  • Some experience teaching/tutoring at a K-12 level.
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to teach French is highly desired.
  • Ability to multitask and balance up to three students at a time.

Part‑Time Elementary & High School Tutor

Pay: $18.00 to $19.50 per hour

Position Overview

As a Teacher‑Tutor at Oxford Learning, you will have the opportunity to work with Elementary students in reading, writing, math and French and/or with High School students in math (through Calculus), physics, chemistry, biology, and English. Our Teacher‑Tutors do not have to worry about lesson planning, as all lessons are pre‑planned. You will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods, allowing you to focus on what you do best – teaching!

Position Requirements
  • Availability during after‑school and evening hours (3:00 pm - 8:00 pm)
  • Commitment through to the end of the 2026‑27 school year (June 30th), with the possibility of continuing through the summer.

This role is in‑person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available.

Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Education

Schedule
  • Monday to Thursday (3 pm to 8 pm) – Availability of a few hours in between this range will still be considered
  • Saturday availability (9 am to 1 pm) – Saturday availability is an asset but not a requirement
