Job summary

Oxford Learning Thornhill is seeking a Part-time Education Coordinator/Teacher to work with primary, intermediate, and high school students and their parents, participating in the centre’s operations, teaching as needed, administering assessments, programming, and promoting the Oxford Learning philosophy. The role is in-person at the Thornhill location.

You will schedule, assess, develop learning plans, liaise with schools and families, and support staff while upholding the centre’s values.

Qualifications

• Exceptional English language written and oral communication skills.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills.
• Excellent organization and multitasking abilities.
• Undergraduate or post-secondary qualification in education or equivalent.
• OCT certification or working towards (asset).
• Experience in teaching or tutoring within an educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Inform inquiring parents about Oxford Learning programs.
• Organize schedules for students, staff, and teachers.
• Set up and administer assessments.
• Establish and oversee student learning programs.
• Liaise with schools, sports teams, and local businesses.
• Maintain contact with parents and discuss progress.
• Ensure Oxford Learning philosophy is maintained.
• Create a fun and energetic learning environment daily.
• Coach other teaching staff in the programme.
