Job summary

Extendicare is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide for Oakview Place in Winnipeg, MB. You will assist with plating and serving meals, maintain serving areas, and support cooks with simple food prep while following established procedures.

This position offers opportunities to work day or evening shifts within a caring, team-focused environment. Requirements include a current Food Handler’s Certificate and the ability to read and follow simple English instructions.

Qualifications

• Current Food Handler’s Certificate.
• Previous dietary experience preferred in LTC.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Able to do moderate to heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Serves food to residents according to individual diets and preferences.
• Assists Cooks with preparation of simple foods (salads, vegetables, fruits).
• Cleans serving areas, pots, pans and equipment; operates dishwasher as needed.
• Assembles nourishment carts and stocks unit kitchenettes.
