Mikisew Cree First Nation is seeking a part-time custodian/janitor to support cleaning and maintenance for offices and common areas in Fort Chipewyan, Alberta. This role requires independent work, attention to detail, and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning, waste disposal, washroom sanitation, and reporting maintenance needs to the supervisor. Prior experience and knowledge of cleaning equipment are assets, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain office and shop areas including floors, windows, desks, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust to keep a clean environment.
• Empty garbage and recycling and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Clean and sanitize washrooms and replenish supplies.
• Report maintenance issues to supervisor promptly.
• Safely handle and store cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Follow health and safety policies at all times.
• Complete assigned tasks within scheduled hours with consistency and reliability.
