Job summary

Conestoga College is seeking a Part-Time Corporate Training Instructor in Fluid Power for the Cambridge campus. The role involves delivering courses on a casual contract basis with schedules Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m., with two full weeks of instruction per course.

Qualifications include Industrial Electrician 442A and 5+ years in fluid power; teaching experience is an asset. Strong leadership, presentation and interpersonal skills are required.

Qualifications

• Industrial Electrician 442A credentials are required.
• Minimum five years of experience with fluid power equipment and understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic and electro-pneumatic functions.
• Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment is an asset.
• Experience teaching or mentoring adult learners; post-secondary teaching experience would be an asset.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office is an asset.
• Excellent leadership, academic excellence and student success are required.
• Excellent organizational, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Job Title: Part-Time Corporate Training Instructor, Fluid Power

Successful candidates will be on a casual contract basis with deliveries scheduled as early as mid-October 2026 to teach Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Conestoga’s Cambridge campuses. Flexible hours are required as scheduled shifts will include two full weeks of instruction per course delivery.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate student progress/achievement, assuming responsibility for the overall assessment of the students’ work within the assigned course and maintain records as required
• Create and maintain a positive learning environment which supports the diversity of students’ cultures, educational backgrounds, and learning styles
• Work in a collaborative, collegial manner both within the department and across the college

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience working with fluid power equipment, with a thorough understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic and electro-pneumatic functions is required
• Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment is considered an asset
• Experience teaching or mentoring adult learners either in a formal educational setting or in the workplace; post-secondary teaching experience would be considered an asset
• Strong understanding of the Microsoft Office suite is considered an asset
• Possess excellent leadership skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
