Responsibilities

• Help with general fencing and outdoor tasks.
• Keep the work area safe and organized.

Job description

Feds N’ Shences Inc. is a fencing and outdoor construction company based in Wasaga Beach. We are looking for reliable part-time/casual Construction Labourers to assist with labour-intensive portions of our fencing and outdoor construction projects.

This is an on-call position, with hours varying depending on workload and project schedules. Some weeks may involve only one or two days of work, while busier periods may provide more consistent hours. Successful workers may have the opportunity to receive ongoing casual work throughout the operating season.

Duties:

• Move and handle bags of concrete
• Mix and assist with placing concrete
• Remove and move dirt from backyards after post holes are dug
• Move lumber, fence panels, posts, and other construction materials
• Load and unload materials and equipment
• Assist with general fencing and outdoor construction tasks
• Perform general job site cleanup
• Provide labour support to fence installation crews
• Follow instructions and maintain a safe and organized work area

Qualifications:

• Reliable and dependable
• Comfortable performing physically demanding outdoor work
• Able to lift and move heavy materials
• Willing to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
• Able to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation strongly preferred, as job sites vary and workers are generally responsible for getting themselves to and from the work site
• Previous construction or landscaping experience is an asset, but not required

What We Offer:

• $20.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience and the work being performed
