Job summary

Century Mile Racetrack and Casino in Edmonton, AB is seeking part-time Security Guards to cover 8-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment. You will be the first line of defense, protecting guests, staff, and assets while ensuring safety procedures are followed.

Requirements include a valid AGLC license, Standard First Aid Level C with AED, Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License, and the ability to pass a criminal background check. Emergency response and team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior security or related experience preferred.
• Must pass background checks and hold required licenses.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard guests and staff in a casino and racetrack environment.
• Protect assets by monitoring and escorting cash/chip transfers.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents promptly and professionally.
• Investigate and report incidents with accurate records.
• Patrol premises and monitor activity to deter risks.
• Support regulators and comply with laws and policies.
• Deliver courteous service and communicate effectively via radios.
• Remain vigilant and act as a proactive team member.
