Job summary

Browns Shoes in Canada’s fashion retail network is hiring a Part-Time Cashier to join our Toronto team. You’ll deliver exceptional service, process sales, handle cash, and keep the checkout area welcoming and organized.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of cashier or retail sales experience.
• Customer-focused attitude with eagerness to learn.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing and resolving client needs quickly.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system, including cash, credit, and debit payments.
• Handle cash and change securely, ensuring accurate cash management throughout the shift.
• Issue receipts, process returns and exchanges and ensure that all transactions are documented correctly.
• Educate customers on our sales and promotions.
• Maintain checkout area organized and welcoming, enhancing the shopping experience.
• Collaborate with fellow associates to ensure the store runs smoothly and customers are satisfied.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing stock to keep the sales floor well-stocked and organized.

THE ROLE

Cashier
