Job summary

Riverstone Retirement Communities is seeking a dedicated bus driver to support outings for residents in Ottawa. You will plan routes with the Recreations Manager, perform vehicle safety checks, assist residents on/off the bus, and remain with residents during outings to ensure safety.

The role requires a Class F license, a clean driving record, and at least three years of driving experience, preferably with seniors. Teamwork, adaptability, and a genuine interest in elder care are essential.

Qualifications

• Class F license is required.
• Copy of licensing extract from the Ministry of Transportation in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Plan routes for resident outings with Recreations Manager.
• Complete post-trip inspection reports for each outing.
• Perform vehicle circle checks before outings and report safety issues.
• Assist residents on/off the bus safely.
• Assist during emergencies occurring during outings.
• Remain with residents during outings and assist as needed.
• Follow directives as set out in the job.
