Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is hiring a part-time bus driver in Ottawa to transport residents to activities and events in company vehicles. You will assist residents with mobility aids, ensure safety during entry and exit, and uphold resident rights and dignity while delivering compassionate service.

The role requires English proficiency, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, CPR/First Aid certification, and a collaborative team attitude in a senior living setting.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate strong written and verbal English skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification is required or will be obtained.
• Clean driving record with valid licenses (ON Class F; MB/AB/BC Class 4).

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain harmonious relationships with residents, families and employees.
• Assist residents with care requirements (walkers/wheelchairs) during vehicle entry/exit.
• Transport residents to scheduled locations, outings and events.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
• Attend in-service training and staff meetings.
• Participate in the Quality Improvement Program.
