Job summary

Halton Region in Oakville is seeking qualified Paramedics for a permanent role within Paramedic Services. You will provide Advanced Life Support, perform controlled acts as directed, and ensure safe patient transport to medical facilities.

This 24-hour-per-week position requires an F-class driver’s license, EMCA/A-EMCA certification, and a Diploma in Paramedic Studies. The role includes testing and interviews as part of the selection process.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Paramedic Studies or anticipated graduation from a Paramedic Studies program.
• EMCA or Advanced EMCA certification (or pending).
• Must be able to work in Ontario as required by the Ambulance Act and Regulations.
• Ability to work under stressful conditions and exercise sound judgment in an emergency environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide Advanced Life Support and patient care under Base Hospital direction.
• Ensure safety and security of vehicles, stations, and equipment.
• Perform accurate patient reports to medical staff on arrival.
• Complete Ambulance Call Reports and required documentation promptly.
