Job summary

The Greater Vancouver Food Bank is seeking an Agencies Distribution Associate to support the Agencies Department with daily operational tasks at distribution sites in Vancouver and Burnaby. You will oversee facility maintenance, inventory data tracking, and pantry, cooler and freezer fulfillment to ensure a consistent, friendly experience for agencies and volunteers.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience in non-profit, warehouse, or food distribution.
• Experience in a volunteer-focused environment is advantageous.
• Ability to work across GVFB locations in Vancouver and Burnaby.
• Basic understanding of WorkSafe regulations.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead fulfillment of food in coolers, freezers, and pantry areas; rotate stock.
• Weigh and track distribution; support weekly metrics and input outbound data.
• Supervise daily volunteers; orient, engage, and ensure safety.
• Communicate agency partner changes with Agencies staff clearly.
• Maintain machinery, shelving, safety practices, and cleanliness.
• Assist with training across operational areas at agency markets.
• Support Partnerships team projects and agency visits.
• Participate in annual objectives and new department changes.
• Print signage and complete tasks assigned by supervisor.
