We are looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant to join a team in the Construction industry in Toronto.

• Type: 6 months contract, with potential to extend
• Hours: Part-time, 15-20 hours per week (please do not apply if seeking full-time hours)

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable and receivable
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, etc.)
• Experience working with manual processes and cheque payments

Responsibilities

• Review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately in ERP
• Prepare and execute payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers
• Reconcile AP sub-ledgers, vendor statements, and bank accounts
• Communicate with vendors regarding inquiries and disputes
• Assist in month-end closing and generate AP reports
• Identify process improvements and collaborate across departments
