Job Summary & Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include working with the teaching team in the preparation and delivery of all aspects of the lab for Chem 2201 in the Fall 2025 term. This may include preparation of course materials, marking student pre-lab and post-lab reports, answering student inquiries, running lab sessions, tutorials, and other tasks as assigned by senior staff. The position may also involve preparing materials for Chem 2201 and chemical solutions. The role reports to the Dean of the Faculty of Science through the Chair of the Department of Chemistry.
Qualifications / Requirements of Position
The position requires a minimum of an MSc degree (PhD preferred) or two years of graduate studies in Chemistry, with a specialization in analytical chemistry. Experience in teaching support at the university level, especially in undergraduate analytical chemistry labs, is required. Experience as a teaching assistant in second or third-year analytical chemistry labs is an asset. The successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team, meeting workplace objectives and deadlines.
