Job summary

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is seeking a Supervisor II for Parks, Recreation and Cemeteries to oversee operations of parks, cemeteries, and recreation facilities, including arenas, pools, halls, and trails. You will lead a mixed staff team, coordinate repairs, and ensure safe, compliant operations across Chatham-Kent.

With a permanent full-time appointment, you will manage budgets, work with external contractors, and support seasonal scheduling while maintaining high standards of service

Qualifications

• Must have college certificate or diploma in business, parks, horticultural, facility management, asset management or related field.
• Two to four years of related experience in arenas, parks, horticultural, facility management, and/or asset management.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor with day-to-day operation of parks, cemeteries, and recreation facilities.
• Coordinate infrastructure projects and lead staff in safe, efficient operations.
• Monitor budgets, procure goods, and manage contractor work.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act and related regulations.
