The City of Kingston is seeking a Parking Technologist (GIS) to lead development, management, and analysis of the City’s spatial parking data environment. You will integrate GIS, parking system data, financial data, and utilization studies to support evidence-based decisions on pricing strategy and demand initiatives.
This role serves as the GIS subject matter expert within Parking Operations and provides analytical support to Licensing & Enforcement Services.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Parking Operations, the Parking Technologist (GIS) is responsible for the development, management, and analysis of the City’s spatial parking data environment. The role leads the integration of GIS, parking system data, financial data, and utilization studies to support evidence-based decision making for parking operations, pricing strategy, supply planning, and transportation demand initiatives.
This position functions as the subject matter expert for GIS and data analytics within Parking Operations and provides analytical support to Licensing & Enforcement Services.
We manage Kingston’s parking system, offering daily and short-term parking along with permits for commuters, residents, contractors, and accessible parking. Our team oversees over 4,100 spaces in lots, garages, and on-street locations, provides rentals for events, and adapts regulations and signage to meet the city’s evolving needs.
