Job summary

Kativik Regional Government in Quebec north of the 55th parallel seeks a Park Visitor Experience Officer for Parc National Kuururjuaq. You will develop and evaluate visitor experiences, delivering programs that showcase the park’s natural and cultural values.

Responsibilities include coordinating with communities, scheduling visits, and monitoring satisfaction to improve offerings. A university degree and two years in parks operations are required; bilingual ability is valued.

Qualifications

• A university degree in a related field.
• At least two years experience in parks operations or relevant work experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with the public.
• Demonstrated resourcefulness and excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Written and oral working knowledge of at least two of the following languages: Inuktitut, English, and French

Responsibilities

• Encourage, welcome, and serve visitors to Parc National Kuururjuaq, ensuring high levels of visitor satisfaction by providing memorable opportunities to discover, learn and experience the Park's values.
• Establish collaborations with community and regional stakeholders, partners, and business operators to develop heritage products, ecotourism, and outdoor education programming.
• Assist in establishing and delivering the park’s services and activities opportunities.
• Assist in scheduling visits and organizing visitor activities with staff to meet training and safety needs.
• Monitor, evaluate and report on visitor experience performance and apply findings to improve programs and services.
