Job summary

The Kativik Regional Government (KRG) invites applications for the Park Visitor Experience Officer at Parc National Pingualuit in Nunavik. You will identify, develop, implement and evaluate visitor experiences to showcase the park's outstanding natural, cultural, and recreational values.

Collaborate with staff and stakeholders to deliver heritage communication, ecotourism opportunities, and environmental education programs; schedule visits; ensure training and visitor safety.

Qualifications

• A university degree in a related field.
• At least two years experience in parks operations or relevant work.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with the public.
• Demonstrated resourcefulness and organizational and planning skills.
• Good working knowledge of common computer systems (word processor, spreadsheet, database).
• Written and oral knowledge of two of: Inuktitut, English, and French.

Responsibilities

• Encourage, welcome, and serve visitors with high satisfaction and memorable experiences.
• Collaborate with communities, partners, and operators to develop heritage products and ecotourism opportunities.
• Assist in delivering park services and activity opportunities.
• Schedule visits and organize visitor activities while ensuring safety and training needs are met.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report on visitor experience performance.
• Assist Parks Marketing in targeting markets and delivering high-quality experiences.
• Prepare reports and correspondence with accurate documentation.
• Stay updated on park operations and related duties.
• Perform other duties as required by the Park Director.
