Job summary

Cedar & Spruce Campgrounds is seeking a highly independent Roamer to join our Parks Operations team. In this mobile maintenance role, you'll travel between day-use areas across the Bow Valley to ensure washrooms, parking lots, and trailheads are clean, safe, and welcoming for public use.

Operation Dates: August through mid-October, with possible winter work. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor work, working solo, and takes pride in keeping natural spaces welcoming.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physically capable of lifting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
• Detail-oriented and dependable.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license required.
• Experience in janitorial, maintenance, landscaping or parks work is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow a scheduled route to visit multiple day-use areas throughout the Bow Valley.
• Clean and restock outhouses and washroom facilities.
• Remove garbage and recycling from bins and grounds.
• Perform light landscaping tasks (e.g. raking, picking up debris).
• Inspect facilities and report any safety or maintenance issues.
• Keep accurate daily logs of work completed (training provided).
