Job summary

Pine Tree Community RV Park in Powell River, BC, is hiring a Maintenance, Repairs, Lawn Care & Gardening Team Member for full-time work. You will keep park facilities clean, safe, and well maintained, performing general repairs and seasonal grounds work.

We value hands-on experience with carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical tasks, plus ability to operate tools, mow and garden. The role requires reliability, teamwork, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated construction and handyman background with practical maintenance experience.
• Experience mowing, landscaping, gardening, and grounds maintenance.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Must clock in/out via payroll app and communicate by text/phone/video calls.
• Reliable transportation preferred; own vehicle beneficial.
• Government picture ID required; authorized to work in Canada.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and finish work reliably.
• Strong safety, cleanliness, and attention to detail.
• References available upon request.
• Must be available for one Friday community event per month at 7:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of park buildings, common areas, grounds, equipment, and facilities.
• Complete basic construction, carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and handyman repairs within safety guidelines.
• Maintain lawns, garden beds, trees, shrubs, and landscaped areas; mow, prune, water as needed.
• Assist with seasonal grounds work, cleanup, trash/recycling removal, and snow removal.
• Identify maintenance concerns and report repair needs promptly.
• Work with staff to ensure high standards of safety and cleanliness.

Pine Tree Community RV Park is hiring immediately for a dependable, hands‑on full‑time Maintenance, Repairs, Lawn Care & Gardening Team Member. This role is essential to keeping our RV park clean, safe, attractive, and well maintained for residents, guests, and the community.

Position Overview

• The successful candidate will perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the property; maintain lawns, landscaped areas, and gardens; and help ensure park facilities and common areas are kept in good working order.
• This is a full‑time position for an individual who takes pride in quality work, follows through on responsibilities, and works well as part of a team.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated construction and handyman background with practical experience in property maintenance and repairs.
• Experience with lawn mowing, landscaping, gardening, and grounds maintenance.
• Ability to safely use common hand tools, power tools, lawn equipment, and maintenance equipment.
• Must be able to use a smart phone or laptop to clock in/out for payroll via a payroll application; must be able to communicate by text, phone and video calls.
• Must have reliable transportation, ideally own vehicle.
• Government picture ID is required for this position.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and complete work reliably.
• Strong attention to safety, cleanliness, and detail.
• Ability to perform physical work, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

List of Duties

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of park buildings, common areas, grounds, equipment, and facilities.
• Complete basic construction, carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and handyman repairs within the scope of experience and applicable safety requirements.
• Mow, trim, edge, weed, water, and maintain lawns, garden beds, trees, shrubs, and landscaped areas.
• Assist with seasonal grounds work, cleanup, trash and recycling removal, snow removal and property improvement projects.
• Identify maintenance concerns and report repair needs promptly.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe, organized condition.
• Provide courteous, professional service to residents, guests, vendors, and fellow staff members.
• Assist on the daily and weekly testing of the water system for the park.
• Work collaboratively with the Pine Tree Community RV Park staff team.
