Job summary

Tayco is seeking a full-time Panel Assembler to join our Panel Systems and Tile Manufacturing Team on the Afternoon Shift. You will assemble panels, tiles, trims, hardware, painted parts and accessories using fixtures and pneumatic tools, while upholding quality and safety standards.

The successful candidate will work 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with training in the 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. slot; we offer a unionized position, extended healthcare coverage, and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Exposure to a manufacturing environment is an asset.
• Good hand-eye coordination and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Tayco is an Office Furniture Manufacturer focused on delivering the ultimate customer experience and we are looking for one full time passionate and enthusiastic Panel Assembler to join our Panel Systems and Tile Manufacturing Team on our Afternoon Shift. The Opportunity:

The Panel Assembler is responsible for assembling all parts of the panels including tiles, slotted channel side trims, hardware, painted parts and accessories using assembly fixtures, pneumatic guns and other tools. They are required to ensure quality standards of products while adhering to Health & Safety policies and complying with Tayco policies on a consistent basis.

The successful candidate may be required to work from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. while undergoing training; upon successful completion of training, their core working hours will transition to 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

• Has a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Exposure to a manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
• Has good hand and eye co-ordination and muscular control sufficient to operate tools or equipment and see closely and/or listen intently in order to achieve very detailed results and/or detect flaws or errors.
• Is able to work independently or as a part of a team. Works well with others and builds effective working relationships within the department and Tayco.
• Is able to lift materials up to 50 pounds and to carry, move, manipulate and/or position them and to move, bend, twist or occasional awkward body positions while performing work.
• Complies with all company health and safety policies and procedures at all times. Without limitation, wears Personal Protective Equipment at all times in accordance with Tayco’s policies.
• Hours: 3:00pm to 11:30pm
• Pay Rate: $22.67/hour+ 1.60 shift premium (only when working afternoon shift)
