Job summary

Tayco, a Canadian manufacturer of modern office solutions, is seeking two motivated individuals to join our Paint Line Team on the day shift in Ontario. The role emphasizes ownership, progressive practice, efficiency, and creating enjoyable experiences for colleagues.

Hours are 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of 22.67 CAD per hour. The position involves loading/unloading on a continuous paint line, following SOPs, and ensuring product quality and proper paperwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Knowledge of WHMIS and OSHA safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Load parts from a paint line following SOPs and management directions.
• Consolidate colours as a batch and document production details.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and record MO/CO numbers, colours and quantities.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and follow health and safety policies.
• Work overtime as required and support team with line operations.

Job description

Tayco is looking for 2 poised and enthusiastic individual to join our Paint Line Team on our day shift. We are looking for someone who is aligned with our core values of Ownership, Progressive, Efficient and Enjoyable Experiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Loads parts from a continuous paint line in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and as indicated by management.
• Consolidation of colours as a batch, while loading the line.
• Ensures documentation of all products loaded on the line; noting plant dates, MO/CO numbers, colours and quantities.
• Maintains proper spacing to ensure the line usage in accordance with SOPs
• Unloads parts from a continuous paint line in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and as indicated by management.
• Consolidation of customer orders while unloading product, in accordance with Manufacturing Orders.
• Prepares carts, packaging materials and paperwork for orders.
• Ensures all products meet our quality standards and are defect free.
• Raises quality and product concerns to the Production Coordinator.
• Cross references finishes of the products to the Manufacturing Orders per batch of production run / skids.
• Prepares material and paperwork for the job.
• Ensures all products meet our quality standards and are defect free.

• Complies with all company health and safety policies and procedures at all times. Without limitation, wears Personal Protective Equipment at all times in accordance with Tayco's policies.
• Maintains a clean and well-organized work area; works in conjunction with afternoon shift employees to do so.
• Provides SOP process familiarization and orientation.
• Works overtime as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned from time to time at the discretion of management.

• To be able to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Is able to understand, speak, read and write English. Must be able to understand verbal and written work instructions in English as accuracy and attention to detail is necessary for the performance of this position. In addition, must be able to speak, read and understand health and safety procedures, document work, orient others, problem solve, learn new work processes and participate in continuous learning and weekly team meetings.
• Is able to work independently or as a part of a team.
• Is able to understand and follow established personal safety, security, and environmental practices. Is knowledgeable of, and compliant with Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and Occupation Health and Safety Act (OSHA).
• Is able to lift materials up to 50 pounds and to carry, move, manipulate and/or position them and to move, bend, twist or maintaining awkward body positions while performing work.
• This position requires consistent at or over shoulder height work.
• Has good hand and eye co-ordination and muscular control sufficient to operate tools or equipment and to see closely and/or listen intently in order to achieve very detailed results and/or detect flaws or errors

The work environment characteristics described are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of the job.

The job is performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to vibration, fumes and or airborne particles, dust, loud noise and temperatures that can be cooler in the winter and hotter in the summer.
