Responsibilities
Sanding, masking, and preparing buses for complete or partial refinishing. Laying out company livery and stripes. Spray painting of water based and Urethane paints with HVLP equipment. Spray painting, brushing, and aerosol touch-up of vehicles and components. Painting with various paint materials both large (e.g., Body Panels) and small complex parts (e.g., engines and other asst. mechanical components).
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
BCTQ in automotive painting & refinishing. Must have served a four-year apprenticeship in automotive painting and have journeyperson experience in vehicle preparation and spray painting.
The ability, after training, to hold a class 2 driver's license with air endorsement is required. An up-to-date driving abstract must accompany application. Maximum 6 points in the past 3 years, no impaired convictions, roadside suspensions or prohibitions in the past 5 years.
Will be required to undergo a comprehensive medical examination.
Assets include - familiar with painting large flat surfaces – inc. aluminum / stainless steel / steel / fiberglass and plastics materials. Experience with modern HVLP equipment and Pneumatic Sanding tools.
Other Information
Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.

Rate of Pay
Wage: $55.09
The Total Compensation Package includes Extended Health, Dental, Transit Pass and enrollment in the Public Service Pension Plan.
