>>> PACS Systems Administrator, Medical Imaging - FT (J0826-0653)Job Title:PACS Systems Administrator, Medical Imaging - FT (J0826-0653)Location:General Site, 4001 Leslie Street#### On a practical level, you will- Responsible for all PACS administration functions:- Leads daily administration tasks such as exam merging, patient merging, exam relocation, including providing support in these activities to clinical coordinators and radiologists.- Leads \"back office\" administration, preparing reports/accumulating data on a regular basis to maintain PACS database integrity, and leads projects to repair discrepancies.- Leads training program and new user registration.- Leads ongoing training initiatives during functional upgrades.- Identifies and documents user concerns, new feature requests.- Perform troubleshooting with all imaging informatics applications and hardware while engaging service providers of such systems in scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance- Provides support to Radiology and Cardio-Respiratory system users with system administration tasks as well as troubleshooting of incidents related to applications and systems- Works closely with radiology quality management to identify and design future needs and efficient workflow processes in a digital environment.- Provides support to I.S. staff and liases with all vendor service in maintenance and troubleshooting of PACS \"back office\" systems including the support of archival and retrieval from regional repository (OCINet- Interlinx)- Works with PACS Manager and PACS team to develop strategic planning for diagnostic imaging initiatives.- Provides project management for projects in the areas of responsibility or as assigned by the PACS Manager. Provides regular updates to the PACS Manager on the progress of such projects.- Works co-operatively with user staff and I.S. department to ensure that departmental systems are compatible with PACS System requirements and workflow.- Shares on-call responsibility for PACS, Cerner RadNet, Powerscribe 360, and other medical imaging informatics systems.- Works safely in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.#### Qualifications- PACS System Administrator Certificate.- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 5 years' experience within a PACS, voice recognition system, and RIS environment, required.- Bachelor's degree in healthcare information systems, CIIP (Certificate), Project Management, preferred.- Comprehensive understanding of the operations of a diagnostic imaging department, including workflow in an electronic imaging environment.- Advanced knowledge in the medical information & imaging modality systems field and connectivity using the DICOM / IHE standards and the HL7 standard or equivalent experience, an asset- Proficiency in multiple software applications and systems, including office automation applications and systems (Windows Server Word, Excel), and radiology applications. Specific experience with Sectra PACS and Oracle Health (Cerner) a definite asset.- Experience with Nuclear Medicine/Cardiology workflow and software (Holter, EMG, EEG, ISCV, Xeleris, etc) is an asset.- Advanced knowledge of relational databases (i.e. SQL), an asset- Excellent written/oral communication skills.
