Job summary

Sectra Canada is hiring an Technical Engineer to deploy and support critical healthcare IT systems across Canada. The role focuses on Windows server deployments, SQL/AD integrations, and cloud-based configurations in a healthcare imaging environment.

You will work with customers, partners, and teams to ensure secure, scalable implementations and smooth interoperability with EMRs, RIS, HIS, and AI tools.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills, written and oral in English and French.
• Degree in computer engineering, health informatics, or related field with strong academic performance.
• Experience in a fast-paced IT environment.
• Proficient experience in healthcare IT, technical support, or system administration.
• Working knowledge of PACS/RIS, HL7/DICOM standards, and clinical workflows.
• Experience with Windows Server, MS SQL, Active Directory, and VMware.
• Familiarity with scripting and cloud environments like Microsoft Azure is a plus.
• Passion for service excellence and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve technical support cases logged in ServiceDesk with documented actions and changes.
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or specialized teams as needed.
• Engage with customers, partners, and distributors to gather technical information and communicate updates.
• Install and configure Windows servers, MS SQL Server, enterprise apps, and AD integrations in Sectra imaging environment.
• Configure and maintain Azure cloud deployments for healthcare IT systems, ensuring security and scalability.
• Integrate Sectra solutions with external healthcare systems using DICOM/HL7/IHE interfaces and APIs.
• Troubleshoot interoperability issues in imaging workflows and data exchange protocols.
• Serve as a technical resource for diagnosing and resolving performance, configuration, and integration issues.
• Maintain knowledge of Sectra product suite (software, hardware, services).
• Demonstrate SME-level expertise as needed for projects or team development.
