Job summary

Baxter International Inc. in Alliston is seeking a Packing Operator for our Midnight shift (Sunday to Thursday, 23:00 to 7:00 EST).

You will set up case sealers, ensure machines operate correctly, and move sterilized products through the packing area to support on-time, high-quality product delivery. We look for a high school diploma, experience with repetitive tasks, GMP manufacturing background, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team setting.

• Flexibility to weekends.

Responsibilities

• Set up case sealer and ensure machines operate properly.
• Move sterilized trucks from staging to packing area and unload onto conveyor.
• Inspect and pack Viaflex units and remove empty trucks to staging area.
• Perform duties on a rotational basis and adhere to SOPs and cGMP.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area following 6S principles.

We are currently looking for an energetic, hard-working Packing Operator to work a permanent full-time position on our Midnight shift (Sunday to Thursday 23:00h-7:00h EST) at our Alliston facility!

The following are dress/gowning requirements: safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, jumpsuit, hood, hairnet, beard cover, gloves, isolation mask and boots (additional PPE required when cleaning)

What You’ll Be Doing

The Packing Operator is responsible for performing the following duties: set up case sealer, ensure machines are operating properly, move sterilized trucks from sterilized staging area to packing staging area, remove screens from trucks, unload sterilized products onto conveyor, inspect and pack the viaflex units. Remove empty trucks to staging area and remove garbage from area.

Duties performed on a rotational basis

• Set up case sealer
• Ensure Machines are operating properly
• Move sterilized trucks from sterilized staging area to packing staging area
• Remove screens from trucks
• Unload sterilized products onto conveyor
• Inspect and pack the viaflex units
• Remove empty trucks to staging area and remove garbage from area.

Duties performed on a continual or intermittent basis

• Learn, understand and apply thorough quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
• Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur
• Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles

What You’ll Bring

• Successful completion of High School diploma or GED required (Proof will be requested)
• Experience doing repetitive tasks
• Manufacturing/Quality experience in a GMP environment
• Experience in food or manufacturing industry
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment (experience working in an assembly line setting is preferred)
• Flexibility to weekends
• Positive attitude, and an ability to work in a team setting with a focus on quality assurance and attention to detail

Pay Transparency Language

At Baxter,we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our paypractices. To that end, this position has a pay rate of $28.45 an hour. You may also be entitled to a shift premiumfor all shift premium eligible hours which will be included in your bi-weekly pay. Shift premium pay is subject tochange and is at the sole discretion of the Company.
