Job summary

Baxter in Alliston, Ontario is seeking a Production Technician (Weekend Day shift) to join our manufacturing team. You will operate Kiefel, SAPA, Grinder, and Blender equipment, ensuring quality products reach customers on time in a fast-paced GMP setting.

You will perform changeovers, QA inspections, and basic preventive maintenance, while supporting continuous improvements. We value reliability, teamwork, and meticulous attention to detail as we save and sustain lives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required (proof will be requested).
• Experience in fast-paced, demanding environments is preferred.
• Manufacturing and Quality background within GMP setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Kiefel, SAPA, Grinder, and Blender in a safe manner.
• Troubleshoot, set up, and adjust equipment for quality output.
• Perform complete changeovers.
• Perform QA inspections and document per GDP.
• Transport materials following safety guidelines.
• Identify and implement minor improvements.
• Visually inspect bag assemblies for quality.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and participate in TPM.

Comprehensive training will be provided, along with additional support from direct supervisors and coworkers in the Manufacturing team when required.

What You Will Be Doing

• Operate the Kiefel, SAPA, Grinder, and Blender in a safe manner
• Troubleshoot, set up, and make equipment adjustments to produce a quality product efficiently
• Perform complete changeovers
• Perform QA inspections and complete documentation following Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
• Transport raw materials and finished products following safe lifting guidelines
• Identify and implement minor equipment/process improvements
• Visually inspect filled bag assemblies for various quality characteristics
• Complete basic Preventative Maintenance on equipment and actively participate in TPM teams and improvements

What You'll Bring

• Successful completion of High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience required (Proof will be requested)
• Experience in a fast-paced, demanding environment
• Experience doing repetitive tasks
• Manufacturing and Quality background within a GMP setting

• Demonstrated good attendance and performance in present position

• Experience in successfully troubleshooting mechanical problems
• Proven ability to be proactive and self-motivated on the job
• Must have the ability to comprehend Baxter Specifications/SOP’s and determine appropriate corrective actions
• Equipment used: Kiefel machines, SAPA, 4-wheel trolleys, manual jacks, electric hoist, 4-wheel pushcart, Q.A. tools and gauges, and computer

At Baxter,we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our paypractices. To that end, this position has a pay rate of $32.55 an hour. You may also be entitled to a shift premiumfor all shift premium eligible hours which will be included in your bi-weekly pay. Shift premium pay is subject tochange and is at the sole discretion of the Company.
