Job purpose

Packing Hall Trainer works with the Training Supervisor to get packing hall associates trained on the job-related aspects.

Duties and Responsibilities

The associate’s primary functions and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Conduct hands-on training for packing hall positions.
  • Use training material like handbooks and videos for training purposes.
  • Follow Onboarding Records as a training checklist.
  • Ensure employees receive a thorough training on Health and Safety procedures, GMPs, e-Stops, Lockout Locations, and emergency exits.
  • Support T&D Manager to design and tailor training programs as necessary for packers, service and packing hall associates.
  • Assist in opportunities for ongoing development.
  • Communicate with floor employees about training needs and resolve any specific problems.
  • Ensure packing hall associates are trained as per the Training Matrix.
  • Enter training records for packing hall associates into Alchemy.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
  • Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.
  • Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Able to work on the production floor for extended periods of time.
  • Demonstrate willingness and talent in coaching and teaching others.
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Good writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals.
  • Hands on experience with using excel, word, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Compliant with ventilation, cleanliness, space, lighting, and temperature.
