Job summary

Richardson International is currently seeking a Production Worker (Packaging Operator) at our Portage la Prairie, MB location. This role focuses on operating the packaging system to ensure products are packed, sealed, and prepared for shipping according to product specifications.

The ideal candidate will be capable of lifting up to 50lbs, willing to work 12‑hour rotating shifts including nights and weekends, and have strong teamwork and communication skills with basic computer knowledge.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Must be able to work 12‑hour rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Computer knowledge an asset.
• Experience operating mobile equipment considered an asset.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to work well as part of a team.
• Solid oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment.
• Operate forklift.
• Perform minor repairs and troubleshooting activities on packaging equipment.
• Perform cleaning duties as assigned to meet standards in all areas of the warehouse and grounds.
• Accurately complete documentation for all processes.
• Perform quality and food safety checks of finished goods and equipment.
• Operates in accordance with all food safety, safety, and fire prevention regulations and practices.
• Perform other duties as required.
