Job summary

Cavendish Farms in Prince Edward Island is seeking a Packaging Forklift operator to load and unload frozen foods from docks, trailers, and production areas. You will operate powered industrial trucks and maintain safety in a cold environment.

The role requires at least 1 year of forklift experience, ability to lift 50 lb, and willingness to work rotating shifts including evenings and weekends. A forklift certification is an asset, and you will use the DSI system to track inventory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year forklift operator experience in a warehouse or distribution center.
• Able to lift, carry, and move products up to 50 lb.
• Willingness to work in cold environments with provided cold-weather gear.
• A forklift certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Move Finished Goods and keep accurate inventory in E1.
• Operate Forklifts safely and be aware of surroundings.
• Inspect Forklift daily and fill out proper inspection sheet.
• Follow all practices, policies, procedures and manufacturing specifications.
• Effectively and accurately utilize DSI system by scanning and confirming of product as it moves through inventory.
• Load truck in accordance with orders scheduled for the day.
• Keep area clean and up to RKI and SQF Standards.

Responsibilities
