Job summary

Cavendish Farms is seeking a Packaging Forklift operator to load and unload frozen food products, maintain accurate inventory, and operate powered industrial trucks in a cold storage environment. The role requires attention to safety, daily forklift inspections, and reliable use of the DSI system for product scanning and inventory control.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year forklift experience, ability to lift up to 50 lb, and willingness to work a rotational shift including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution center.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move products up to 50 lb.
• Willingness and ability to work in cold environments. Proper cold-weather clothing provided.
• A valid forklift certification is an asset.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with a focus on accuracy in stocking and inventory management.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
• Flexible to work rotational shift, including evenings and weekends.

Packaging Forklift is responsible to operate powered industrial trucks and various other pieces of equipment to load and unload frozen food products to and from the cold storage areas, loading docks, trailers, and production areas.

• Hourly wage : $21.59 - $24.04

Responsibilities

• Move Finished Goods and Keep accurate inventory in E1
• Operate Forklifts Safely and be aware of surroundings.
• Inspect Forklift daily and fill out proper inspection sheet.
• Follow all practices, policies, procedures and manufacturing specifications
• Effectively and accurately utilize DSI system by scanning and confirming of product as it moves through inventory.
• Load truck in accordance with orders scheduled for the day
• Keep area clean and up to RKI and SQF Standards.
