Job summary

Purolator is seeking an AM Sorter to join our Operations Department at the Canada Distribution Center. This entry-level role requires no prior experience; training will be provided on the job, with a starting wage of $21.31 per hour under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

You will unload freight from curbside trucks, sort by destination, weight, size and shape, load freight into linehaul and cube trucks, and scan packages to confirm correct sorting.

Qualifications

• No specialized education required.
• Training will be provided on the job.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, loading, and unloading freight.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately sort and scan packages.
• Dependable team player with the ability to work Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM (15 hours per week).

Responsibilities

• Unload freight from curbside trucks onto conveyors and from conveyors into curbside trucks.
• Sort and separate freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet delivery schedules.
• Load freight into linehaul trucks, cube trucks, and trailers.
• Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles.
• Scan shipped and received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted items and priority deliveries.
