Job summary

FedEx Canada is seeking a Package Handler in Calgary to load/unload freight, scan and sort items, and transport freight within facilities. You will also train other handlers on loading, unloading, palletizing, and scanning to ensure efficient, safe movement of packages through the operation.

Ideal candidates have a diploma (preferred), up to 6 months of experience handling packages, knowledge of FedEx Canada operations, and the ability to lift heavy loads with the appropriate equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent (Preferred).
• Six (6) months of experience as a Package Handler (Preferred).
• FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations (Preferred).
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Must have the ability to lift 70 lbs & maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.
• Must possess a valid G license & have a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• To load and unload freight, scan, and sort freight within the facility.
• To transport freight within and between facilities.
• Trains other Package Handlers on loading, unloading, palletizing, and scanning techniques to ensure efficient and safe movement of packages through the operation.
