Qualifications

Job Description

To load and unload freight, scan, and sort freight within the facility. To transport freight within and between facilities.

Trains other Package Handlers (PHs) on loading, unloading, palletizing, and scanning techniques to ensure efficient and safe movement of packages through the operation.

This position will support both AM and PM sort operations. The successful candidate will be required to support both operations based on operational needs.

Note: This is a LOCAL POST only for PPT Cargo Handlers/Senior Cargo Handlers at YOW.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
• Six (6) months of experience as a Package Handler (Preferred)
• Knowledge of FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations (Preferred)
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
• Valid G license with a good driving record

Additional Skills and Qualifications (French)

• Diplôme d'études secondaires ou équivalent (Preferred)
• Minimum six (6) months experience as a handler (Preferred)
• Knowledge of Canadian Customs regulations and FedEx operations (Preferred)
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
• Valid G driver's license with a good driving record
