Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a talented HR professional to support recruitment, payroll, and HR operations across Canada. You will screen candidates, coordinate interviews, manage job postings, and assist with HR initiatives in a unionized environment.

Fluency in French and English is required, with strong communication and teamwork skills. You will collaborate with managers across departments, ensure accurate payroll data, and help deliver HR solutions aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in recruitment.
• 2 years in HR.
• 2-5 years payroll experience; union relations.
• Degree or diploma in HR, business admin, or related field preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and bilingual in French and English.

What will you do?

• Support recruitment processes in alignment with established hiring strategies and business requirements.
• Create, update, and maintain job descriptions, job postings, and recruitment advertisements.
• Conduct initial candidate screening prior to Hiring Manager review.
• Support full-cycle recruitment activities, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer preparation, and onboarding.
• Source and engage active and passive candidates through various recruitment channels and creative sourcing techniques.
• Maintain recruitment reports, hiring status updates, and key talent acquisition metrics.
• Assist with Talent Acquisition projects and initiatives to drive process improvements and operational excellence.
• Provide HR administrative support and assist with HR reports, audits, and special projects.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR-related matters.
• Work within a unionized environment and assist with labour relations matters, including collective agreement interpretation, grievance administration, employee communications, and collaboration with union representatives.
• Support payroll administration, including employee data updates, payroll verification, timesheet review, payroll reporting, and responding to payroll-related inquiries.
• Ensure employee records are maintained accurately and confidentially in compliance with company policies and employment legislation.
• Collaborate with managers and various departments to provide HR solutions and support business objectives.
• Assist with HR compliance initiatives and maintain knowledge of employment standards and labour legislation.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Work collaboratively across multiple departments to support recruitment, payroll, employee relations, and HR operations.

What will you need to succeed?

• 2 – 3 years’ experience in recruitment
• 2 – years of experience in HR
• 2-5 years of experience in payrollExperience with union and industrial relations
• Candidates with a Degree or Diploma in Human Resource, Business Administrative, or any related field of studies is preferred.
• Able to work proactively and have a good sense of teamwork.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, outgoing personality and have strong influence and impetus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Bilingual in French and English (written and verbal)

The successful candidate for this position must be fluent in French and English (oral and written) to perform the duties and responsibilities of the role.

• The role requires interaction with French and/or English speaking customers and suppliers across Canada and/or abroad.
• The role requires regular interaction with Siemens colleagues based in Quebec, Ontario, nationally and internationally.
