Job summary

Cornwall Community Hospital is seeking a PC Technician to join the IT Applications and Client Services team in Cornwall, Ontario. You will troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues and coordinate installations to keep clinical and administrative systems running smoothly.

The role requires a 2-year college diploma with A+ certification, at least 1 year of experience, strong customer service skills and reliable attendance. On-call duties and a day shift schedule are part of the position.

Qualifications

  • Strong troubleshooting, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Summary of responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager of IT Applications and Client Services or other delegate, the PC Technician will Troubleshoot any Hardware, Software, Network problem the customer may have. Coordinate and plan Hardware and Software installations.

Requirements of the job
  • 2-Year college diploma with A+ certification
  • Minimum 1-year experience as a P.C. Technician
  • Good knowledge of personal and networked equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software
  • Experience in customer support, good interpersonal and organizational skills and strong team oriented
  • Day shift Monday through Friday - Schedule subject to change
  • Required to be on-call for evenings and week-ends to provide support
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient safety
  • Demonstrated regular, punctual attendance
  • Functional proficiency in English (oral and written)
Assets:
  • Demonstrated experience in a healthcare sector and knowledge of CCH I.T. support and network infrastructure
  • Knowledge of intranet and internet development tools
  • Knowledge of Mitel phone networks.
