P&C - Reserving Senior Actuarial Analyst / Actuary

About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Actuarial Analyst to support the Appointed Actuary in the following responsibilities:

  1. Canadian statutory reserving and reporting under IFRS 17
  2. Financial forecast modelling, Financial Condition Testing (FCT) and ORSA process
  3. Transition to and stabilization in IFRS 17, working closely with local and global project teams and across functions, eg. Finance, IT, etc.
  4. Lead ad hoc projects and provide guidance to junior analysts

About the Team
This position will report to the P&C Appointed Actuary based in Toronto, Canada. The P&C Actuarial Management team reports to the Head Actuarial & Reserving P&C Americas. We are responsible for all the corporate actuarial requirements of Swiss Reinsurance Canada Ltd, Canadian Branch and Swiss Re Corporate Solutions America Holding Corporation, Canadian Branch (collectively the "Canadian Branches").

About You

  1. University degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics
  2. Experience in reserving, capital modelling and knowledge on financial reporting (eg. IFRS 4/IFRS 17) preferred
  3. 5+ years actuarial experience preferred, with title depending on years of experience
  4. Certificate of FCAS/ACAS or close
