Job summary

Covenant House Vancouver is seeking an overnight youth worker for the Sanctuary Program, a low-barrier, trauma-informed care setting for 16–24-year-olds facing homelessness and substance use. You will provide crisis intervention, intake, and ongoing support to help youths stabilize and access services.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in related social service field.
• Minimum 3 years full-time experience in a similar low barrier role.
• First Aid & Non-Violent Crisis Intervention is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome youth accessing CHV services and assess immediate needs.
• Initiate and maintain relationships with at-risk youth 16–24 years old.
• Orient new youth and complete program intake/admission.
• Assist clients in exiting street life and coordinating supports.
• Work with youth to address needs and goals, including crisis intervention.
