Job summary

Walmart Canada in Port Perry, ON is seeking an Overnight Stocker leadership role to assist in directing overnight stocking teams, coordinate tasks, and train associates. You will ensure department presentation, secure high-value items, and conduct daily safety and audit activities.

The role emphasizes strong communication, schedule review with the People Lead, and active involvement in recruiting and hiring new associates. This is a hands-on, on-site position at 1535 HWY 7A, Port Perry.

Qualifications

• Age - 18 or older

Responsibilities

• Assists in providing direction and the co-ordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the General Merchandise Coach and the Store Management Team.
• Assesses the overall presentation of store departments and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executing merchandising display changes where required.
• Ensures strong communication with associates, leads the daily Team Huddle at the start of each shift and provide the team with updates, set goals, and track productivity.
• Ensuring all high ticket merchandise is secured, all doors and lockups are secured when not in use and completing daily audits as per program.
• Review completed schedules with People Lead.
• Tours assigned areas with the Coach and team associates to validate and identify training opportunities. Develops associates through teaching and training and provides feedback as needed.
• Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.
• Complete GTA/Workday tasks and supports Management
• Partner with Coach/People Lead to facilitate performance management and growth conversations for Associates. Supports recruiting and hiring new associates.
