Job summary

Canada Cartage is seeking a night-shift yardworker in Cornwall, ON. Primary duties include moving trailers and containers within the yard, performing shunting maneuvers for loading/unloading, and ensuring safe transfer of cargo between storage areas and dock doors.

The role requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted, attention to detail on freight paperwork, and maintaining an organized dock and yard during overnight hours. Local trailer moves may be required if licensed.

Shift: Night - Sunday To Thursday - 11:00pm to 07:30am

Position Summary

Primary responsibility is to efficiently move and relocate trailers and containers within our transportation yard or facility. Duties include performing shunting maneuvers to position trailers for loading and unloading, ensuring the timely and safe transfer of cargo between storage areas and dock doors.
