Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Ottawa is seeking a Personal Support Worker for overnight shifts from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., 60 hours biweekly. The role focuses on compassionate care and daily living assistance for residents in our senior living communities.

We value teamwork, empathy, and strong communication. Candidates must have a PSW certification (or be internationally educated nurses) and current life support certifications, with a willingness to obtain a clear background check.

Qualifications

• PSW certification or internationally educated nurse.
• Strong drive and empathy for residents.
• Teamwork and customer service focus.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid.
• Vulnerable Sector Check within six months or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities as needed.
• Deliver compassionate care with privacy and respect.
• Document tasks on the electronic health record platform.
• Communicate changes in care to clinical leads.
