Job summary

EHN Canada is seeking a Mental Health & Addiction Treatment Support Worker for Nanaimo, BC. This full-time overnight role supports clinical staff, assists patients with daily needs, and helps maintain safety and structure within the facility.

You will partake in rounds, assist with life-skills activities, document progress, and coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage, PTO, pension, and relocation assistance as offered.

Qualifications

• Possession of a recognized Health Care Worker certificate or appropriate training.
• Trauma-informed training/experience is an asset.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Life skills teaching and supporting patients with daily activities.
• Facilitate therapeutic/community meetings and address follow-ups.
• Support patients during times they need structured guidance.
• Monitor patients and ensure safety during shifts.
• Duties include documentation, rounds, and coordination with clinical staff.
