Job summary

Pilot Company is seeking a Guest Services cashier to process merchandise and fuel transactions at our Canadian locations. You will lead a shift of one-to-two cashiers, ensure accurate point-of-sale operations, and uphold safety and policy guidelines while delivering quality guest service.

Responsibilities include end-of-shift reporting, handling guest concerns, and supporting other travel center functions. This role offers weekly pay and multiple benefits through full-time employment.

Qualifications

  • Experience or working knowledge of retail operations.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Proficient with a calculator, computer and related equipment.
  • Team player with ability to interact across levels.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Background check is required.

  • Complete end-of-shift reports and close out procedures.
  • Follow guidelines on sale of restricted merchandise (alcohol, tobacco).
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area.
  • Use suggested selling methods to promote and sell products.
  • Ensure quality service is delivered to every guest.
  • Handle guest complaints per policy and report to management.
  • Determine break schedules and team placement during shift.
  • Assist with other travel center functions (deli, showers, restrooms, stocking, coffee).
  • Model behaviors that support the company’s purpose and support guests and team members.
  • Ensure activities comply with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The purpose of this job is to process merchandise and fuel transactions. Essential Functions include:

  • Lead a shift of one-to-two cashiers to process all types of cash, credit, and debit transactions
  • Complete end-of-shift reports and close out procedures
  • Follow company and local guidelines with regards to the sale of any restricted merchandise items (i.e., alcohol, tobacco)
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area
  • Use suggested selling methods to promote and sell products
  • Ensure quality service is delivered to every guest
  • Handle guest complaints and issues by following company processes and guidelines; resolve team member conflict; and communicate issues to management
  • Determine break schedules and team member placement during shift
  • Assist with other travel center functions such as maintaining deli, cleaning showers and restrooms, stocking, making coffee, etc.
  • Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
  • Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Pay Rates Starting between: $17.95 - $20.75 / hour

Qualifications
  • Previous experience or working knowledge of retail operations
  • Incredible customer service skills & the ability to help maintain a customer focused culture
  • Must be proficient with a calculator, computer, and other equipment
  • Ability to work as part of a team and interact with different levels from hourly team members, customers, vendors, and corporate representatives
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule of nights,weekends, and holidays
  • Background check is required
