Shift Type: Full-time

• OVERNIGHT
• Shift Days: Tuesday-Saturday
• Shift Hours: 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM

JOB OVERVIEW:

You will be responsible for ensuring your building looks clean, presentable, and inviting at all times. Responsibilities include maintaining common areas, washrooms, mopping, sweeping, and wiping down surfaces.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee daily duties of light and heavy-duty custodians
• Train new hires and promote BEST’s culture, mission, and values
• Maintain communication with Site Managers regarding staffing, safety, supplies, and concerns
• Facilitate staff meetings to implement policies and safety requirements
• Maintain and secure storage areas and cleaning equipment
• Perform cleaning duties including floor maintenance
• Perform minor equipment repairs and report vandalism
• Report equipment repairs and stock shortages
• Perform other duties as needed

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Knowledge of WHMIS, cleaning products, chemicals, and procedures is an asset
• Basic computer and smartphone skills, experience with MS Office
• Ability to analyze, plan, organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous supervisory experience is an asset
• Ability to pass a Canadian Background Check
