Job summary

GardaWorld Security Services in Vancouver, BC is seeking a Campus Security Guard to patrol and protect students, staff and visitors on campus overnight. This part-time role runs Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 PM to 06:00 AM, with a focus on customer service, incident response and safety.

You will perform interior and exterior patrols, monitor for unauthorized activity, provide First Aid (OFA 2) when required, and maintain accurate reports.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in Canada.
• Valid BC security license required.
• First aid certification - OFA 2 required.
• Strong communication and exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong report writing and technology skills.
• Physically able to drive, patrol, stand and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the premises on a regular basis.
• Monitor for unauthorized activity, safety hazards, and security breaches.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
• Provide First Aid (OFA 2 level) when required and complete all necessary documentation.
• Maintain accurate reports including daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift pass-ons.
• Enforce site policies and procedures in a professional and consistent manner.
• Assist with access control and ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises.
• Provide excellent customer service and act as a point of contact for staff, students, and visitors.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and emergency services when required.
